Biographical Information[edit]
Duke Simpson played in the majors only one season, but he was busy during that year, appearing in 30 games primarily as a reliever with the Chicago Cubs in 1953. He was three years older than rookie Ernie Banks, who made his major league debut on the last day that Simpson played in the majors.
