Biographical Information[edit]

After attending Kansas State University, Duane Kratzer played four years of minor league baseball. In his first pro season, he hit .397 for the Cassville Tigers in 1935 to lead the Arkansas State League. In his final season as a player, he was with the Kinston Eagles, and he remained in Kinston following his playing days. After serving in the Navy during World War II, he worked in the auto parts industry for 40 years.
