Biographical Information[edit]

Doug Smith pitched one game in the majors, on July 10, 1912. In 3 innings, he gave up only one earned run.

He was born in Massachusetts, and made his debut with the Boston Red Sox at age 20. It was the team that won the 1912 World Series, behind Joe Wood's 34-5 record.
