Biographical Information[edit]
Doug Shanks has been a college coach.
Shanks coached at University Christian School before becoming head coach of Mississippi Valley State University in 2001. He led MVSU to several divisional titles. Shanks retired after the 2014 season, then took over as coach at Central Hinds Academy.
Shanks' nephew, Cliff Shanks, played minor league ball.
