Biographical Information[edit]

Doug McWeeny pitched for the Chicago White Sox in 1921 and part of 1922 before being sent to the San Francisco Seals for third baseman Willie Kamm. He went 15-7 with a 2.78 ERA for the Seals in 1922 and was 20-12 with a 3.91 mark the next year. He returned to the White Sox briefly in 1924 before going back to the minors. Back with the Seals in 1925, he went 20-5 with 175 strikeouts and led the Pacific Coast League with a 2.70 ERA. Beginning in 1926, he spent four seasons with the Brooklyn Dodgers, winning 14 games in 1928, before ending his big league career with the 1930 Cincinnati Reds.
