Doris Kearns Goodwin
- Born January 4, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY USA
Presidential historian and Boston Red Sox fan Doris Kearns Goodwin is perhaps best known in baseball circles for her appearance in Ken Burns' Baseball documentary. She later wrote Wait Till Next Year: A Memoir (1997), a personal recollection about her childhood as a Brooklyn Dodgers fan. In addition, she has written books about Presidents John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln.
On March 15, 2011 she was one of 12 persons named to the Baseball Origins Committee.
