Biographical information[edit]

Outfielder Donnie Moore played in the minor leagues from 1995 to 1998 after being drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 16th round of the 1995 amateur draft out of high school.

In his first pro season in 1995, he hit .239 in 38 games for the AZL Brewers. He moved up to the Ogden Raptors of the Pioneer League in 1996, hitting .271 in 50 games. In a rare statistical quirk, he had no doubles that season, but 3 triples and 1 homer. In 1997, he was with the Beloit Snappers of the Midwest League, hitting .223 in 47 games, with 3 doubles as his only extra-base hits and 11 RBIs. On August 31st, he constituted the meager return sent to the New York Mets when the Brewers acquired veteran pitcher Pete Harnisch in a trade just in time for him to still be eligible for the postseason (not that it mattered as the Brewers fell well short). The minor league season was already over by that point, and it seems that the Mets had no real interest in Donnie as they released him during spring training the following year and he found himself back in the Brewers system, and again at Beloit. In what turned out to be his final minor league season in 1998, he hit .219 in a career-high 61 games, with 2 homers and 13 RBIs.
