Don Reed
Don Reed was a college coach and summer collegiate manager. Reed was an assistant coach at St. Xavier University and at Eckerd College, before becoming head coach at Shorecrest Prep from 1999-2012. But it was his time as a manager in the Cape Cod League for which he is most notable. Reed managed for 13 years on the cape, four years with the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (1987-1990) and nine years with the Wareham Gatemen (1991-1999). He won four CCBL championships, two at either team, and he made the playoffs all 13 years he was a manager. His 334 wins puts him second behind John Schiffner as the CCBL's all-time winningest manager.
