Biographical Information[edit]
Don Lukaszewski played for Team USA and in the minors.
He hit .375 and slugged .563 for the US when they won Silver in the 1955 Pan American Games. [1] Turning pro, he spent two seasons in the Chicago White Sox chain. He batted .292/.372/.500 in 37 games for the Holdrege White Sox, legging out 7 triples, but fielding .867 as a middle infielder. Moving to the Dubuque Packers the next summer, he again hit well (.272/.369/.490, 62 R, 13 HR in 68 G), though he fielded .861 at short.
