Biographical Information

Don Lukaszewski played for Team USA and in the minors.

He hit .375 and slugged .563 for the US when they won Silver in the 1955 Pan American Games. Turning pro, he spent two seasons in the Chicago White Sox chain. He batted .292/.372/.500 in 37 games for the Holdrege White Sox, legging out 7 triples, but fielding .867 as a middle infielder. Moving to the Dubuque Packers the next summer, he again hit well (.272/.369/.490, 62 R, 13 HR in 68 G), though he fielded .861 at short.
