Don Kirby played for the Muncie Reds of the Cincinnati Reds system in 1947, hitting .287/.391/.394 with a home run and 13 RBI in 30 games. He played in the outfield and at catcher.
He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and spent time as a prisoner of war in France.
