Biographical Information[edit]
Don Flinn played reasonably well during his one stint in the big leagues. He played 14 games for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1917, appearing in left field, right field and as a pinch-hitter, and posting a batting line of .297/.316/.378 for a team whose overall numbers were only .238/.298/.298. Flinn made no errors in the field.
He was 24 at the time, nineteen years younger than teammate Honus Wagner.
Don's pro baseball career lasted at least ten seasons. Born in Texas, a lot of the minor league teams he played for were in the South. Although the record is not complete, it's clear he also did some pitching, with at the very least 144 innings of work.
