Biographical Information[edit]
John "Doc" Kerr played in the Federal League. He is one of more than 50 major leaguers remembered by the nickname "Doc", and that doesn't count the many players who are remembered by other names but who were sometimes called "Doc". The period from 1895-1925 was the time when "Doc"s were most frequent in the majors.
Kerr hit .352 for Trenton in 1911.
