Biographical Information[edit]
Dimitrios Gazis has played baseball in Greece and has been a volunteer groundskeeper tending to the country's baseball fields. He played for the Greek national team in the 2010 European Championship. In his only game, he started in left field against Croatia. He struck out against Danijel Levak and made an error in his only fielding opportunity before A.J. Brack replaced him. He was back with Greece in the 2011 Baseball World Cup. He was a backup catcher against Taiwan and had one passed ball; he reached on catcher's interference his only time up. He also pinch-hit against Team Canada's Chris Kissock and grounded one back to the mound.
