Biographical Information[edit]

Dimasther Delgado is a minor league pitcher.

Delgado signed with the Atlanta Braves and scout Luis Ortiz at age 17. He debuted as a pro with the 2007 DSL Braves, going 3-3 with a 2.43 ERA and striking out 86 while walking 12 in 59 1/3 IP. He was 7th in the Dominican Summer League in strikeouts. He was 5-1 for the 2008 GCL Braves but his ERA rose to 4.39 and he gave up 51 hits in 39 2/3 IP. He was placed on Panama's preliminary roster for the 2009 World Baseball Classic.

Delgado missed all of 2010 recovering from a car accident in Panama in which he broke his right leg, tore a ligament in his right knee, and broke his left hand.
