Biographical Information[edit]
Dickie Flowers was in pro ball at the start, in 1871 and 1872. He was above average for the Troy Haymakers in 1871, playing on a team with Lip Pike. He was with the Philadelphia Athletics in 1872. He played for the Philadelphia Keystones in 1868-1869.
He later became a fireman. His obituary in Sporting Life stated that he started with the Quaker City club in 1867. He dropped dead suddenly, from heart disease, said the article.
