Dick van der Klaauw was an umpire in the Hoofdklasse for over 10 years in the 1960s and 1970s. He was chairman of the Umpire Committee of the Amsterdam Region from 1968-1973. He also worked the 1968 Haarlem Baseball Week, 1969 Haarlem Baseball Week, 1971 Haarlem Baseball Week and 1972 Haarlem Baseball Week. From 1975-1978, he was a board member of the Royal Dutch Baseball and Softball Association. He later was active in Dutch soccer administration.
