Biographical Information[edit]
Dick LeMay pitched one complete game in his career. It was on June 24, 1961 for the San Francisco Giants against the St. Louis Cardinals. He gave up 6 hits, 1 earned run, walked 1 and struck out 4. The Giants won the game, 6-1.
LeMay scouted for the Chicago Cubs (1973-1974), Philadelphia Phillies (1975-1976), and Montreal Expos (1978-?). He also coached basketball at Cascia Hall Preparatory School in Tulsa, OK. The baseball field at the school is named in his honor. He first began working there when he pitched for the minor league Tulsa Oilers in the 1960s, after his major league stint. He managed the Quincy Cubs in 1971 and 1972.
He was the step-father of big league pitchers Brad Holman and Brian Holman.
