Infielder Devery Van De Keere spent two seasons in the minors. His father Keith Van De Keere pitched for Team Canada.
Van De Keere played high school baseball under his father's coaching; he also played volleyball and hockey. After a year at Phoenix College, he hit .368 and slugged .582 for the University of Louisiana-Lafayette in 2006. He fell to .254/.306/.344 in 2007. The Kansas City Royals chose him in the 48th round of the 2007 amateur draft.
Devery hit .284/.369/.388 for the 2007 Idaho Falls Chukars and .280/.358/.465 for the same club in 2008. Let go by the Angels, Van De Keere signed with the Dornbirn Indians of the second-tier Austrian league for 2010.
