Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Derek Mann was selected by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the 37th round of the 1996 amateur draft. He played seven seasons in the minors in the Devil Rays, Pittsburgh Pirates, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Anaheim Angels chains, briefly reaching the AA level.
