Biographical Information

Relief pitcher Dennis O'Grady began his professional career in 2011.

He was taken by the San Diego Padres in the 34th round of the 2011 amateur draft (the scout was Adam Bourassa). Through 2014, his ERA never fell below 3.86 in a season, though he posted solid strikeout rates with a high of 9.2 per nine innings in 2012. He had his first taste of Triple-A in 2014, going 7-1 with a 4.42 ERA in 43 games for the El Paso Chihuahuas.
