Biographical Information

Demerius Pittman was drafted in the 28th round of the 1989 amateur draft by the Milwaukee Brewers as a high school outfielder, but never played professionally. He joined the Toronto Blue Jays as a scout in 1999 and later moved to the Philadelphia Phillies; he has covered Southern California and Hawaii. He scouted Ricky Romero, Marc Rzepczynski, Mike Rouse and Jordan De Jong for Toronto and J.P. Crawford and Jonathan Singleton for Philadelphia. He was named Toronto's Scout of the Year for 2005.
