Biographical Information

David Long was with the Swedish national team for the 2012 European Championship. He went 0 for 6 with a walk and four strikeouts as a backup left fielder. He also pitched twice. Against Greece, he tossed 1 1/3 shutout innings (1 H, 1 BB, 1 K) in between Joakim Claesson and Christian Staehely. Versus Germany, he was less effective, giving up four hits, two walks and four runs in 2/3 of an inning during a 10-3 loss; he relieved Per Sjörs and was relieved by Kent Karlsson.
