Pitcher David Bromberg was selected by the Minnesota Twins in the 32nd round of the 2005 amateur draft and made his pro debut the following year with the GCL Twins, going 3-3 with a 2.66 ERA in 10 starts. With the Beloit Snappers in 2008, he was 9-10 with a 4.44 ERA in 27 starts but led the Midwest League with 177 strikeouts. The following summer, with the Fort Myers Miracle, he went 13-4 with a 2.70 ERA and was named Florida State League Most Valuable Pitcher. After seven seasons in the Twins organization, he moved on to the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2013, starting the year with the Altoona Curve.
