Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher David Allen played in the Minnesota Twins system from 1970 to 1974. He was taken by the club in the 15th round of the 1970 amateur draft. After a rocky initial campaign, he went 7-4 with a 2.25 ERA in 18 games (13 starts) between two clubs in 1971. In 1972, he was 13-9 with 15 complete games and a 3.29 ERA in 24 games (23 starts) for the Orlando Twins. With the Lynchburg Twins in 1973, he went 12-5, 2.86 with 9 complete games in 25 starts. He was 1-8, 6.56 in 13 games (8 starts) for the Double A Orlando Twins in 1974; that was his only campaign above A ball.

Overall, Allen went 37-32 with 36 complete games and a 3.38 ERA in 93 games (81 starts) over five seasons.
