Biographical Information

Dave Yates was the All-American second baseman in 1970 while at Delaware. The Philadelphia Phillies took him in the 10th round of the 1970 amateur draft. He hit .300/.374/.482 in his pro debut with the Walla Walla Phillies that year but fell to .269/.404/.303 in a return engagement with the club in 1971 to end his career.
