Biographical Information[edit]
Dave Veres was described by Tony LaRussa as having "electric guts and electric command". Veres played for the Torrejon Air Base (Madrid, Spain) in the 1978 Little League World Series; he was only the second future big leaguer to appear for a non-US team in a Little League World Series, following Hector Torres by 20 years.
