Biographical Information[edit]
Dave Silvestri played for Team USA when they won Silver in the 1987 Pan American Games. In the 1988 Baseball World Cup, he batted .333/.407/.542 with 10 runs as the US's shortstop. He was signed as a 2nd round pick in the 1988 amateur draft by the Houston Astros and scout Bill Kelso.
