Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Dave Jacas was drafted three times. Initially, he was taken in the 13th round of the 1982 amateur draft, then by the Mets again in the 20th round of the 1985 amateur draft, a few picks after outfielder Bo Jackson. He signed a contract after being taken by the Minnesota Twins in the 14th round of the 1986 amateur draft.

He played in the Twins system from 1986 to 1990, stealing 50 bases for the Kenosha Twins in 1988 and hitting .304/.382/.423 with 33 swipes between two teams in 1989. In 1990, he reached Triple A for the first time, hitting .231/.299/.366 with 18 steals in 112 games for the Portland Beavers. He played in the Milwaukee Brewers system in 1991 and the Oakland Athletics system in 1992. In 1993, he played in Mexico to wrap up his career.

Overall, Jacas hit .264/.336/.368 with 165 stolen bases in 776 games in the affiliated minors.
