Biographical Information

Infielder Dave Hayden was taken by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 8th round of the 1991 amateur draft, just ahead of pitchers Derek Lowe and Steve Trachsel. He played in the minor leagues from 1991 to 1995, reaching Triple A briefly in his final campaign. Perhaps his best year was 1993, when he slashed .310/.401/.355 in 97 games for the Clearwater Phillies. Overall, he batted .251/.331/.309 with 9 home runs and 103 RBI in 447 games.
