Biographical Information

Pitcher Dave Doorneweerd was a second round choice of the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 1991 amateur draft out of | in New Port Richey, Florida. While there, he complied an excellent 31-6 record with a 1.29 ERA, including a 13-1 record and a 0.27 ERA in his senior year, well accompanied by his 196 Ks.

Doorneweerd later played for the GCL Pirates (1991), Augusta Pirates (1992), Salem Pirates (1993-1994), and Lynchburg Hillcats (1995).
