Biographical Information

Dave Dangler was the head coach at Linn-Benton Community College (1977-83), Yavapai Community College (1984-94) and Portland State University (1995-98).

He spent the next 11 years as an area scout with the Montreal Expos (1999-2001), Florida Marlins (2001-05) and Baltimore Orioles (2005-09). He signed Jai Miller and Taylor Tankersley.

Dangler was the pitching coach at University of Notre Dame in 2010 and the University of Washington in 2011-2012.

Dangler then became a scout for the Marlins once again. He became a scout for the Detroit Tigers in 2016, covering the northwest region.
