Biographical Information[edit]

Catcher Dave Becker spent three years in the Toronto Blue Jays system. He was drafted by the 18th round of the 1992 amateur draft, a few picks ahead of pitcher Gary Wilson. His professional career began at 17 years old.

He never played above rookie level. He posted slash lines of .212/.269/.294 and .209/.356/.291 for the GCL Blue Jays his first two years, respectively, with his relatively high on-base percentage the latter campaign attributable to the 20 walks he drew in 38 games. In 1994, his final year, he hit .217/.368/.228 with 18 walks in 33 games for the Medicine Hat Blue Jays.

Overall, Becker batted .213/.336/.272 with no home runs, 19 RBI, 15 stolen bases and 44 walks in 102 games.
