Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Darrel Deak played in the minor leagues from 1991 to 1997. He spent the majority of his career at Triple A, but never reached the major leagues.

Drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 18th round of the 1991 amateur draft, Deak hit .302/.423/.553 with 9 home runs and 33 RBI for the Johnson City Cardinals his first year, 1991. By 1994, he was in Triple A, hitting .272/.343/.438 with 18 home runs and 73 RBI his initial campaign there, after hitting 16 and 19 homers the previous two campaigns, respectively. By 1997, he was out of affiliated baseball, wrapping up his career in Mexico and in independent ball.

In affiliated ball, Deak hit .263/.361/.449 with 77 home runs and 310 RBI in 622 games overall.
