Biographical Information[edit]
Darin Thomas was a college coach.
Thomas was 11-1 as a pitcher in 1986 to help Seward County Community College to the Jayhawk West Conference championship. He finished his career there 13-2, the all-time SCCC leader in winning percentage. After graduating college, he coached Oklahoma Christian High School in 1990.
Thomas became an assistant coach st Seward County Community College in 1991. In nine years there, the team was 346-144. During this time, Darin finished his master's degree at Fort Hays State. He was also head coach of the Liberal Bee Jays for four years, leading them to a National Baseball Congress title in 2000.
He became assistant coach at the University of Texas at Arlington from 2001-2007, working with Hunter Pence and Adam Moore. In '08, he became head coach and went 56-57 in his first two years. He won 404 games in 15 seasons before resigning. He then moved to Baylor University in an of-field role as Director of Operations for the baseball team.
