Biographical Information

Dar Cox was a scout for over 30 years.

Cox was a bird dog for the Cincinnati Reds (1980-1984) then was promoted to part-time scout for 1985-1986. From 1986-1991, he scouted for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He then spent 20 years with the Colorado Rockies, predating their first game played. Among his signees were Chad Bettis, Parker Frazier, Choo Freeman, Jayson Nix Jeff Salazar and Trevor Story.
