Biographical Information[edit]

Danny Lazar had one career decision in the major leagues, a loss against the Cleveland Indians on August 11, 1968. He started the game for the Chicago White Sox, pitching 2 innings, giving up 4 hits and 2 unearned runs; he walked 1 and struck out 1. The White Sox lost the game, 2-1.

Lazar's last major league start came against the Minnesota Twins on October 2, 1969, in a game in which he went six innings. He gave up home runs to Bob Allison, Rich Reese, and Tony Oliva, but escaped with a no-decision.

Lazar was inducted into the Indiana State University Hall of Fame in 2008. He pitched for Indiana State from 1963 to 1965. In five years in the minors, he posted a record of 38-29.
