Biographical Information[edit]

Daniel Washburn has been a college coach.

Washburn was picked by the New York Yankees in the 70th round of the 1995 amateur draft. He did not sign then pitched for Georgia Southern University from 1996-1999. Washburn was assistant coach at Tyler Junior College from 2001-2003. He was assistant at LaGrange College from 2004-2006 before being hired as head coach of Maryville College. Washburn won Great South Athletic Conference Coach of the Year his first season, taking a team that was 13-28 in 2006 and going 25-19 as a rookie coach. He won 85 games his first four seasons at helm. Washburn left Maryville after the 2011 season.
