Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Daniel Keller played professionally from 1966 to 1973. Though he reached Triple-A a couple times, he never made the major leagues.

He began in the California Angels system, remaining there until 1972. With the Single-A San Jose Bees his first year, he went 14-7 with 9 complete games and a shutout in 29 games (24 starts); in 179 innings, he had 181 strikeouts. He then joined the Double-A El Paso Sun Kings, where he stagnated from 1967 to 1970. He began 1971 at Double-A, but earned a promotion to Triple-A after posting a 1.86 ERA and 10.2 K/9 IP ratio for the lower-level Shreveport Captains. In his first stint at Triple-A, he was 0-3, 8.18 in 24 appearances; Overall, he was 2-6, 4.15 in 54 games that year. He bounced around in 1972 and 1973, spending time in the Angels, Milwaukee Brewers and San Francisco Giants systems, as well as with the Piratas de Sabinas in the Mexican League.

At all levels, Keller went 44-59 with a 3.85 ERA in 261 games (94 starts); in 899 innings, he allowed 834 hits and 412 walks, while striking out 729 batters.
