Biographical Information[edit]
Daniel Castillo has pitched for the Colombian national team.
Castillo was 8-5 with a 6.65 ERA at Peru State. [1] He pitched once for Colombia in the Americas Olympic Qualifier for the Tokyo Olympics (he was not the only player on the team without pro experience - Freddy González was also a pitching in the US collegiate ranks), getting the start against Cuba. He began on a rough note by walking Roel Santos and allowing a single to Yadir Mujica. A fly by Yordanis Samón brought in one run. He retired Lisbán Correa on a foul pop but then allowed three straight singles - to Yadir Drake, Erisbel Arruebarruena and Raico Santos - to make it 3-0. Yeizer Marrugo then took over. Castillo took the loss and wound up tying Carlos Juan Viera for the worst ERA in the event. [2]
