Biographical Information[edit]
Yeizer Marrugo has been a minor league pitcher.
Marrugo was signed by Baltimore Orioles scouts Jorge Franco and David Stockstill in November 2011. He was 1-2 with a save and a 1.44 ERA for the 2012 DSL Orioles despite 20 walks in 25 innings, thanks to only 12 hits allowed. Lefties hit under .100 against him. In 2013, he was 3-4 with a 1.68 ERA for the DSL Orioles 2. He missed the Dominican Summer League top 10 in ERA by .05. Despite that success, he was back in the DLS in 2014, now with the DSL Orioles 1. He had a 6-2, 2.20 record.
With the DSL Orioles 1 in 2015, the righty was 6-2 with a 2.02 ERA. He was on the Colombian national team that won one of the 2017 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers in March 2016 to get a trip to the 2017 World Baseball Classic, but did not get into a game (they used only 9 of their 15 pitchers).
