Dana Beszczynski

Dana Beszczynski was born in the USA and raised in New York. He was a college baseball umpire in the USA. In 1995, he moved to Europe and continued to serve as an ump. He began umpiring in the Austrian Baseball League in 2000 and in the German Bundesliga in 2004. In 2010, he worked three games in the Hoofdklasse.
Beszczynski has also worked many international events, including the 2005 European Championship, 2007 European Championship, 2008 Final Olympic Qualification Tournament, 2009 Baseball World Cup (covering home plate in the Bronze Medal Game and also working the Gold Medal Game in right field), 2011 Baseball World Cup and 2014 European Championship. He worked in every European Cup from 2006 to 2013 and again in 2015 and 2018. In 2009, he was named the CEB Umpire of the Year.
