Biographical Information[edit]
Dan Spencer has been a college coach.
Spencer played one season at Mira Costa College in 1984 and went on to play three seasons at Texas Tech University.
He was an assistant coach at Tacoma Community College in 1991. From 1992-1996, he was 131-67 as head coach at Green River Community College. He then spent 11 years as a coach at Oregon State University, working with the pitchers and catchers and handling recruiting. He helped OSU recruit and develop Eddie Kunz and Mitch Canham.
Spencer was head coach at Texas Tech University from 2009-2012, replacing longtime coach Larry Hays. He was then an assistant coach at University of New Mexico in 2013-2015 and Washington State University from 2016 to 2019. He was hired as head coach of Linfield College for 2020.
