Biographical Information[edit]
Dan McGeehan played three games at second base near the start of the season for the 1911 Cardinals. The regular second baseman that year was Miller Huggins.
His brother Conny McGeehan had played briefly in the majors eight years earlier and died in 1907, four years before Dan came to the majors. Another brother, Charles McGeehan, played in the minor leagues and became a longtime baseball coach at Villanova University. Brother Pat McGeehan played in the minor leagues in the 1910s. His cousin, James McGeehan, managed in the minor leagues.
A Pennsylvania boy, much of his minor league career was spent at Scranton and Allentown.
