Biographical information[edit]

Dan Adriance is a former minor league baseball pitcher who played from 1986 to 1989.

He started his professional career out in 1986 with the unaffiliated Tri-City Triplets. With them, he pitched in 21 games, six of which he started. He went 1-5 with a 5.35 in his first year in professional baseball.

In 1987, he found his way into the Milwaukee Brewers system, specifically with the Beloit Brewers. In 34 relief appearances, he posted a 2-2 record with a 4.63 ERA. A pretty good strikeout pitcher, Adriance struck out 76 batters in 79 2/3 innings, leading all the team's reliever who pitched in at least 30 games.

1988 was an interesting year for Adriance, because not only was he used as a pitcher, he was also used as a pinch-hitter. Playing for the Brewers again, he went 1-2 with a 5.86 ERA as a hurler. In 38 at-bats at the plate, he collected 12 hits for a .316 batting average.

Adriance played his final year in 1989. In an unknown transaction, he found his way into the San Francisco Giants organization. Between the two teams he played for - the Clinton Giants and Salinas Spurs, he appeared in 10 games, posting an 0-1 record with a 3.97 ERA.

Overall, Adriance posted a 4-10 record with a 5.15 ERA in his career. He started eight games in 91 total appearances, striking out 178 batters in 220 1/3 innings while walking 120.
