Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Damon Howell played in the California Angels system in 1968 and 1969. He was taken by the club in the 14th round of the 1968 amateur draft, a few picks after pitcher Bruce Kison and a couple ahead of hurler Richie Moloney.

With the Idaho Falls Angels in 1968, he hit .290/.350/.389 with 3 home runs, 18 RBI and 9 stolen bases to make the Pioneer League All-Star team. He hit .262/.358/.350 with 1 home run, 13 RBI and 1 steal in 47 games for the Quad Cities Angels in 1969 to wrap up his career, which ended when he was still a teenager.
