Damon Day
Damon Day has coached at the college level.
A pitcher during his student days, Day was pitching coach of Benedictine University in 1998 and Lakeland College in 1999. From 2000-2003, he was head coach of Dana College. In 2004, he joined the University of Nebraska at Kearney. He won Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2004 then went 28-27 in 2006, the school's first winning season in a decade. They improved to 33-24 in 2007, then went 34-27 in 2008. They won 36 games in 2010, one shy of the school record then won 38 in 2012 to set the mark. He coached Joba Chamberlain at UNK. He won 394 games in his 15 years before the school dropped baseball.
