Biographical Information

The youngest son of former big league player and skipper Jeff Torborg, Dale Torborg played baseball at Northwestern University and in the minor leagues. He hit .321 his last year in college and joined the New York Mets system as an undrafted free agent in 1994. As the first baseman of the Kingsport Mets, he batted .289/.319/.400 that year. He finished his career by going 1 for 9 with the 1995 St. Lucie Mets and hitting .198/~.261/.284 for the Greensboro Bats.

After his playing days ended, he embarked on a career as a professional wrestler known as "The Demon". After injuring his knee, he returned to baseball, working as a trainer on his father's staff for the Montreal Expos in 2001, and, later, the Florida Marlins in 2002 and 2003.

Since 2004, Torborg has been Minor League conditioning coordinator for the Chicago White Sox, a position he still held as of 2012. However, he still had time to return to the wrestling ring for a pay-per-view event in 2005 with Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski as his manager.
