Biographical Information[edit]
Dale Alvarez has played for the Guam national team.
He was with Guam when they took Gold in the 1999 South Pacific Games. [1] In the 1999 Oceania Championship, he was an outfielder for Guam's champion team. [2] At age 38, he started in center for Guam in the 2011 Pacific Games. He hit .294/.316/.353 with two runs and three RBI in six games, while handling six putouts in the round-robin and semifinals. [3] In the Gold Medal Game, he was 0 for 3 from the 9th spot in the batting order but had five putouts and one assist in the field; Guam fell to the Northern Mariana Islands. [4]
