Daisuke Ikenaga is a Japanese native who has played in Europe, Australia and the Americas as well as Asia.
Ikenaga was 5 for 46 with 2 walks and 18 strikeouts for the Japan Samurai Bears in the 2005 Golden Baseball League and fielded .934 as a utility infielder. He went to Germany in 2006 and batted .233/.377/.302 with 14 steals in 15 tries and 23 runs in 28 games for the Mainz Athletics; he fielded .946 at short. Ikenaga was second in the southern Bundesliga-1 in steals.
In 2007, Daisuke returned to the Golden Baseball League and hit .174/.289/.203 in 35 games for the Long Beach Armada. He fielded .908 in a utility role. He was in one of Japan's independent leagues in 2009 then signed with Mainz for 2010 after a winter in Australia. He hit .267/.300/.357 and fielded .929 at short for Mainz.
For 2011, he signed with France's Savigny Lions. He only played one game, going 0 for 3.
