Biographical Information[edit]
Dad Clark played 12 games for the 1902 Chicago Orphans, manning first base in relief of "The Peerless Leader" Frank Chance while hitting .186. He also had a long minor league career, managing in 1904 and 1905. He was sometimes called "Fred Clark" in the press, but the press also misspelled Fred Clarke's name without an "e", so there was the possibility of confusion.
